Anna Pletcher

President

Anna Pletcher is a partner at O’Melveny & Meyers LLP, advising clients on antitrust issues, white collar matters, and government investigations. Anna was a federal prosecutor for ten years and adjunct professor at Berkeley Law and Hastings. She also ran for Marin County District Attorney in 2018. From a Puerto Rican family and the first in her family to graduate from college, Anna has a BA from Yale and a JD from Berkeley Law.

Marie Barnes

Vice President

Marie has a private practice in San Rafael dedicated to Criminal Defense and Family Law. In the area of Family Law she focuses on child custody and matters involving domestic violence. She is the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants and is fluent in Spanish. She received her Bachelors degree from Sonoma State University in Political Science and Psychology and received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University, Thomas Cooley Law School. In her spare time she volunteers for various organizations that provide legal services to the community.

Michael Estrada

Treasurer

Michael J. Estrada has over 25 years of experience practicing law in California.  Mike’s practice concentrates on the litigation of products liability claims and complex insurance coverage disputes.  The latter includes coverage claims for directors and officers, advertising injury, environmental pollution, mold and construction defect claims.  Mike earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (with Distinction, and with Highest Honors) in 1978, and a Master’s Degree in Sociology in 1983, from the University of California, Berkeley.  He received his Juris Doctorate from U.C. Berkeley’s Bolt Hall School of Law in 1985.

Aldo Mercado is a partner at the Boss Law Firm where he handles various title, escrow and litigation related issues. He holds a bachelor degree from UC Santa Cruz where he was appointed class commencement speaker and obtained his J.D. from USF where he served as co-chair of the La Raza Student Association.

Catalina Lozano

ALMA Past-President, Mentorship Committee

Catalina Lozano has a private practice in Marin County and is an adjunct professor at U.C. Hastings College of the Law. Ms. Lozano received an M.B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. from U.C. Hastings through Hastings’ Joint Degree Program. In 2014. she was a recipient of the U.C. Hastings La Raza Law Students Association Alumni of the Year.
